{"id":611,"date":"2011-01-10T12:15:06","date_gmt":"2011-01-10T11:15:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/?p=611"},"modified":"2014-10-27T14:23:05","modified_gmt":"2014-10-27T13:23:05","slug":"artists-books-in-nyc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/2011\/01\/10\/artists-books-in-nyc\/","title":{"rendered":"Artists&#8217; Books in NYC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the 22nd Jan I will be heading to New York where I am to be on a panel for a seminar about artists&#8217; books at the <a title=\"Grolier Club\" href=\"http:\/\/www.grolierclub.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Grolier Club. <\/a>This is happening alongside an exhibition of works from the <a title=\"WSW\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wsworkshop.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Women&#8217;s Studio Workshop (WSW)<\/a> collection, entitled &#8216;Hand. Voice &amp; Vision&#8217;. The book which I worked on at <a title=\"WSW\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wsworkshop.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">WSW<\/a> in 2007, <em>Unfolding Architecture<\/em>, is part of the exhibition and I have also written a short text for the exhibition catalogue.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Unfolding-Architecture-artists-book.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-617\" title=\"Unfolding Architecture \" src=\"http:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Unfolding-Architecture-artists-book-278x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"278\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Unfolding-Architecture-artists-book-278x300.jpg 278w, https:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Unfolding-Architecture-artists-book-951x1024.jpg 951w, https:\/\/emilyspeed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Unfolding-Architecture-artists-book.jpg 1305w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 278px) 100vw, 278px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My time at WSW doing the <a title=\"Book Residency at WSW\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wsworkshop.org\/_art_opp\/artopp_grant_abr.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Artists Book residency<\/a> was really incredible and I am really looking forward to catching up with the staff at the seminar, as well as meeting the other artists on the panel. I also have plans to meet the guys from <a title=\"WAGE\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wageforwork.com\/wage.html\" target=\"_blank\">WAGE,<\/a> to profile them for <a title=\"a-n\" href=\"http:\/\/www.a-n.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">a-n&#8217;s<\/a> March issue.
