From the Mountain to the Abyss

wood, electrical tape, acrylic, pencil and draughtsmans colour on paper

From the Mountain to the Abyss was made when thinking about the experience of being high up and the intense pleasure (in danger) that occurs when looking down into plunging depths. Lagely inspired by Glyn Davies' paper - Nietzsche, an alpine experience and the spirit of place- the small gaps and holes in this work are the unknowns and pitfalls of everyday.
