Star Fort

Star Fort is a kind of flat pack construction, which can be expanded out and to above head height using bolts and hinges. It takes its name from the medieval defensive structure, although it is a flimsy construction only good as a psychological barrier. Documentation of the artist folding the space around her and expanding it out is visible in small lighboxes on medium format slide film. In the polaroid "Body/Building (Santa Maria della Pieve" shows the body as half building.
